FOR the last 15 years and beyond...

As Marco Polo Plaza Cebu’s general manager (GM) Brian Connelly said: “We have celebrated the annual tree lighting event to usher in the holiday season all these years. Despite the raging Covid-19 pandemic, we will stay strong and resolved, and keep this tradition with this year’s theme ’Christmas Together.’”

This moving message was delivered during the virtual online tree lighting ceremony in partnership with GMA Regional TV. Commencing the heart-moving program was a number by Kapuso singer/songwriter Aicelle Santos, followed by the Tree of Hope blessing by Msgr. Jim Gorre. The Voice of Cebu Chorale also took part in the festivities.

The next number was another heart-tugging one, with GM Connelly handing over a check of P100,000 as a donation turned over to Ann Marie Tan, assistant vice president and station manager of GMA Regional TV Central and Eastern Visayas. Also looking on was Amabelle Russiana, GMA Kapuso Foundation Regional coordinator.

To date, through the partnership of Marco Polo and GMA Kapuso Foundation, over a million pesos has already been gathered to support various projects of the Kapuso network, such as the Unang Hakbang sa Kinabukasan, Give-A-Gift Project, and many more. Vice president and head of GMA Regional TV Oliver Amoroso once more thanked the Cebuanos for this generous deed, especially in these difficult times.

Share the joy of the season by donating P200/Christmas ball at the Tree of Hope until Jan. 6, 2022. All proceeds will be forwarded to the GMA Kapuso Foundation.

Online donations can also be done via bank transfers
