Barangay captains, SK heads back Gasataya

OUT of 61 barangay captains in Bacolod City, 34 have expressed their support to the reelection bid of Representative Greg Gastaya.

They are captains Cesar Rellos, Bob Asan, Raymund Salaveria, Rudy Baydo, Hercy Sibug, Ronnie Serrano, Melvin Bravo, Ely Alcantara, Carl John Magno, Felipe Gregorio Rife Jr., Diosdado Mayo, Joseph Anthony Ortillo, Jun Mharby Orola, Edner Gigje, German Bullouza, John Malayang, Teodoro Yulo, Ruben James Miranda, Joemarie Biasca, Adrian Garrucho, Gener Agpalo, Jude Salusada, and Elmer Villanueva of Barangays 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 19, 12, 14, 21, 22, 25, 26, 29, 31, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39 and 40, respectively.

Also pledging their support to Gasataya are captains Degie Tanista, Donny Dela Vega, Angelito Abaring, Jojo Malayang, Jerry Tingson, Alfredo Talimodao, Ricardo Danoy, Rodolfo Pico, Leah Palma, Rosinie Distrito and Rodney Carmona of Barangays Alangilan, Alijis, Bata, Cabug, Estefania, Granada, Handumanan, Mansilingan, Punta Taytay, Singcang-Airport and Sum-ag.

Aside from them, 38 Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chairpersons in Bacolod City also backed Gastaya’s candidacy.

In response, Gasataya said he is grateful for the sincere gesture of support to his reelection bid in the May 2022 elections.

“The fellowship dinner has strengthened our mutual commitment for each other, which will ensure our continued collaboration and partnership in the delivery of services with a heart and this will indeed trickle down to the welfare of their respective constituents,” he said.

“Politics is only temporary, but our sincere relationship with a genuine love for public service is already instilled in our minds and hearts,” he also said.

“It's a relationship founded on service they have forged long ago, which can stand beyond politics,” Gasataya stressed, adding that he wish to continue working hand in hand with the barangay officials to ensure the smooth delivery of his brand of leadership formed on “Serbisyong may Puso” to the people of Bacolod.

The lawmaker also expressed his gratitude for being a recipient of the love coming from the youth leaders.
