THE Christmas break for both public and private schools for the school year 2021-2022 will start on Dec. 20, 2021 and end on Jan. 2, 2022, the Department of Education (DepEd) said.
The DepEd Order No. 29, series of 2021, set the dates for the Christmas, DepEd said in a statement last Oct. 29.
“These are the holiday break dates for all schools,” DepEd said.
Based on the same order, the opening of classes was on Sept. 13, 2021 and the last day will be on June 24, 2022.
The school year consists of a total of 209 school days.
For the eighth public schools and one private school in Cebu participating in the face-to-face (F2F) classes, the F2F classes will end on Dec. 31, 2021, not on Jan. 31, 2022—the original date of the F2F’s conclusion.
Around 440 schools all throughout Central Visayas are ready for the possible expansion of F2F classes in January 2022.
