TYPHOON Odette (international name: Rai) has futher intensified and has made landfall over Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2021.
The Philipine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronmomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Odette has a maximum sustained winds of 195 kilometers per hour (km/h) near the center, with gustiness of up to 240 km/h and central pressure of 815 hectopascal.
Typhoon Odette was moving west northwestward at 30 km/h and may make another landfall over Dinagat Islands Thursday afternoon.
The center of Odette will then move westward and cross several provinces in Central and Western Visayas regions before emerging off Sulu Sea Friday morning.
Pagasa said after it passes near or in the vicinity of either Cuyo or Cagayancillo archipelago, Odette will cross the northern or central portion of Palawan Friday afternoon or evening before emerging over the West Philippine Sea.

Pagasa said Typhoon Odette may see some slight weakening as it crosses northeastern Mindanao, Visayas, and Palawan, but it is forecast to remain as a typhoon.
