14% power supply back in Consolacion, Cebu

AROUND 14 percent of Consolacion town, Cebu has a power supply as of Monday, January 3, 2022, 18 days after Typhoon Odette (international code: Rai) toppled electric poles and trees, destroyed houses and agriculture in the town.

This after portions of 11 of Consolacion's 21 barangays have been reenergized by Visayan Electric Company.

Mayor Joannes "Joyjoy" Alegado reported this latest development during his meeting barangay captains, the Municipality of Consolacion reported on it's official Facebook page Monday, January 3.

The barangays that have partial electricity are Poblacion Oriental, Tayud, Pulpogan, Cansaga, Nangka, Cabangahan, Polog, Danglag, Garing, Pitogo and Tilhaong.

In Poblacion Oriental, the electricity is back in portions of Crossing and portions of an area at the back of a birthing center.

Power is up in portions of Redwood Subdivision, Marian Village, Pondol and an area near Big Blue Cold Storage in Barangay Tayud.

In Cansaga, electricity is back in portions of the Diversion Road, portions of the area at the back of Enjoy Shopping Center and Latasan; in Barangay Nangka, electricity is up and running in portions of Purok 4 and portions near Jagobiao Creek.

Electricity has returned to portions of Rexville Heights and barangay road leading to Barangay Polog in Cabangahan, and to portions of Purok Kamansilis and Villa Jovita in Barangay Polog.

Portions of Purok Kalbasa in Danglag, Purok Lubi and Purok Papaya in Garing, portions of Garden Bloom Subdivision, portions near Cyria's Kandingan in Pitogo, portions of Purok Lubi in Tilhaong already have their power supply back.

Typhoon Odette devastated Cebu on Thursday evening, December 16, 2021. In Consolacion, the storm severely affected 5,500 families. (KAL)
