THE Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), through the Philippine Army, has promoted Colonel Jose Randolf Sino Cruz, assistant division commander of the Army’s 1st Infantry Division (ID), to the rank of brigadier general.

Sino Cruz was officially donned with the rank of brigadier general Thursday, January 6, in a simple ceremony headed by Major General Generoso Ponio, 1ID commander.

Sino Cruz described the donning of rank ceremony as the momentous event of his military career.

The family of Sino Cruz witnessed the ceremony held at Camp Cesar Sang-an, home of the 1ID in Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur.

He was also thankful to “Team Tabak” for the prayers and keeping their faith.

“Walang magbabago, I will stay humble, I will be the same Sino Cruz. Kung sino man ako nung nakilala ninyo ako, ako pa rin yon,” he added.

Sino Cruz is a member of the Philippine Military Academy “Bigkis-Lahi” Class of 1990. (SunStar Zamboanga)
