6 ways to wear ‘Very Peri’

When Pantone announced its “Color of the Year” for 2022, it drew mixed reactions. Named “Very Peri,” the color is described as a periwinkle blue hue with a violet red undertone that blends the faithfulness and constancy of blue with the energy and excitement of red.'

It is also the first time that Pantone actually created a new color instead of just picking one from its existing library of colors. Pantone said creating “Very Peri” symbolizes the changes taking place in the world after a long period of isolation and uncertainty, and our desire to overcome them.

Not everyone may be a fan of this hue, but here are six looks from local celebrities and influencers that just might convince you to sport it yourself to help bring that “spritely, joyous attitude and dynamic presence” into your everyday wardrobe.

Mimiyuuuh

For a casual look that packs a peri punch, your girl Mimiyuuuh picks a very peri blazer, buttons it up and tucks it into a pair of two-tone jeans.

Liza Soberano

An oversized cozy cardigan pairs well with straight-leg jeans and chunky sandals as seen here on one of the prettiest faces on Philippine TV, Liza Soberano.

KC Concepcion

Here’s one proof that very peri can be very chic too. We love the frilly feathered detail on KC Concepcion’s chiffon mini dress which we would wear to a daytime or nighttime soiree.

Rhea Bue

Content creator Rhea Bue shows us that co-ords are still very much on-trend in 2022. She pairs the matching polo and shorts set with a plain bandeau and a reworked handbag for that casual cool vibe.

Lissa Kahayon

Fashion, travel and fitness blogger Lissa Kahayon opts for some cute color blocking in her loose blazer and chartreuse cowl-neck dress. This look can take you from running errands to brunch with the girls.

Julia Barretto

Actress and ultimate cool girl Julia Barretto wears very peri in two different shades. Her bucket hat is from her own brand, The Juju Club.
