Angeles LGU distributes meds to Covid-19 patients

THE local government unit (LGU) of Angeles City, Pampanga started distributing medicine packages to Covid-19 patients under home quarantine.

Inside the packages are Azithromax, Neozep, paracetamol, prednisone, and surgical masks.

The medicine packages were delivered by the Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office led by Rodolfo Simeon.

The medicines were prescribed by doctors of Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center led by Dr. Froilan Canlas through the telemedicine hotlines launched by Mayor Lazatin, a free consultation intended for medical concerns of Covid-19 patients that are currently at home isolation or under quarantine.

Mayor Carmelo "Pogi" Lazatin said this initiative is aimed to assist Covid-19 patients in their full recovery.

Lazatin said this is only a small way to help them in their financial burden.

City Health Officer Verona Guevarra said the fastest way to recovery is full rest, drinking of plenty of water, eating nutritious foods, and taking prescribed medicines.

The City Government has adopted the guidelines set by the Department of Health for home isolation and quarantine protocols for Covid-19 patients that are either fully vaccinated or not.
