Nocppo director, some station chiefs reshuffled

After serving as director of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) for more than a year already, Colonel Romy Palgue was relieved from his post effective yesterday, January 9, 2022.

Plague was replaced by Colonel Leo Pamitan, who was previously the officer-in-charge of the Capiz Police Provincial Office.

It was not yet known, however, where Palgue will be reassigned.

Based on the guidelines of the Commission on Elections (Comelec), police directors serving more than one year will be relieved from their current post.

Meanwhile, several police chiefs in the province were also reshuffled by the Police Regional Office (PRO)-Western Visayas.

Lieutenant Colonel Arthur Baybayan was relieved from his post as chief of San Carlos City Police Station.

He was replaced by Lieutenant Colonel Jesus Mesahon Jr. while Lieutenant Colonel Reynante Jomomacan replaced Lieutenant Colonel Romeo Vargas in Himamaylan City Police Station.

In Victorias City, Lieutenant Colonel Eduardo Corpuz was relieved from his post and was replaced by Lieutenant Colonel Joseph Fajardo Jr.

In Calatrava, Major Joevito Bose will replace Major Roberto Indiape Jr., who will assume post as Cauayan Municipal Police Station chief replacing Lieutenant Colonel Norberto Barniso.

Major Jake Barila was also relieved as Hinigaran town police chief and was replaced by Captain Ryan Villasario.

In La Carlota City, Lieutenant Colonel Jonel Guadalupe was replaced by Lieutenant Colonel Lowell Garinganao. Guadalupe was reassigned to the Sagay City Police Station replacing Police Lt. Colonel Albert Sy.

Meanwhile, former Cadiz City Police Station chief Lieutenant Colonel Rocky Desear was reassigned as the police chief of Escalante City.

Replacing Desear in Cadiz City is Lieutenant Colonel Gil John Despi, who assumed the post as officer-in-charge from being the chief of Escalante City Police Station.*
