THE Supreme Court has strongly urged all Bar examinees to undergo self-quarantine starting Monday, January 10, 2022, in preparation for the upcoming Bar examinations.
Associate Justice and Bar Examinations Chairperson Marvic Leonen issued Bar Bulletin Number 32 series of 2022, issuing the observance of quarantine protocols for the 2020/21 Bar Examinations scheduled on January 16, 23, 30, and February 6.
In their previous Bar Bulletin, those examinees who will test positive for the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) will automatically be denied entry to their local testing centers even if they are asymptomatic.
The prohibition applies to both the antigen test and the reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).
Fully vaccinated examinees will be required to undergo one antigen test within 48 hours before the first examination.
Those who are unvaccinated need to present a negative RT-PCR test result taken within 72 hours before the examination.
"Being a Bar examinee does not mean that you cease to have empathy for the welfare of others. After all, being a lawyer is not really only about you, it is about being able to truly empower and serve," said Leonen.
Leonen also encourages those examinees who have not received the vaccines to be inoculated before the Bar examination.
"As an added layer of protection, especially against the new Omicron variant, all unvaccinated Bar examinees are also highly encouraged to get vaccinated before the examinations," Leonen said.
There will be three schools in Cebu that will host the first-ever regional Bar Examination, the University of San Jose- Recoletos, University of Cebu, and the University of San Carlos.
