Mark Lloyd & Devine: Love knows no boundaries

LOVE knows no boundaries.

Even the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic was not able to hinder the decision of two individuals, Mark Lloyd Magallona and Devine Toreno, to formalize their two-year-old love relationship into a union with the blessing of the Almighty God and their respective families.

The two shared happy and challenging moments and have known each other on how they deal with various seasons and conditions of life.

On January 8, in an excellent ambiance of the summer capital of Negros Occidental -- the scenic Don Salvador Benedicto, newly-wedded couple Mark Lloyd and Devine exchanged their sweet "I dos" in a lovely Alfresco setting at the Toreno Resort along Kilometer 58 in Barangay Bunga in Don Salvador Benedicto.

Magallona is the son of Wilfredo and Lory Magallona, while Devine is the daughter of DSB Councilor Ronnie and his wife, Violah Toreno.

Devine is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, major in Marketing Management and Business Economics in 2015, and a graduate of culinary arts in 2017 at the University of St. La Salle, Bacolod.

Mark Lloyd is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Major in Animal Science at the University of Negros Occidental Recoletos in Bacolod City.

Devine worked as a former chef at The Mark Restaurant by Jean-Georges in New York, United States but opted to come home to assist her family business.

Her husband was a former area coordinator and project development officer I and former RCM program researcher at the Department of Agriculture, Western Visayas.

Mark Lloyd told his wife Devine, "You are a grace not only in your family but also to other people surrounding you. You bring happiness and love to us, the reason why I gave you my sweet Yes in our relationship. The Yes that became the beginning of our love story and marital relationship that we vowed to share forever."

Devine, in her response, said: "From this day on, I offer, and I surrender to the Lord, our union and our plans as we begin our marital journey together."

The newly wedded couple extended their gratitude to those who made their marriage possible, especially to God Almighty and their respective families who shared their love and dreams as a couple.
