PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula nab 4 fugitives

FOUR most wanted persons were arrested by lawmen in separate law enforcement operations in Zamboanga Peninsula, the police reported Tuesday, January 11, 2022.

Police Brigadier General Franco Simborio, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula director, identified the arrested wanted persons as Elmer Delos Santos, 41; Brendon Iladio, 32; Evelyn Florece, 41; and Ronnie Sumindog Sr., 50.

Simborio said Delos Santos was arrested Tuesday, January 11, by joint police and military operatives in Limo-ok village, Lamitan City, Basilan province.

Somborio said Delos Santos is the number 1 most wanted person of Zamboanga City Police Office's (ZCPO) Station 3 and has a standing warrant of arrest for murder issued by a court in Zamboanga City.

Iladio, who was arrested around 6 a.m. Monday, January 10, at a port in Baliwasan village, Zamboanga City, is the number 5 most wanted person in Sibuco, Zamboanga del Norte.

He has a pending warrant of arrest for murder with no recommended bail dated March 19, 2021 and issued by the court of Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte.

Florece, the number 7 most wanted person in Baliguian, Zamboanga del Norte, was arrested around 3 p.m. Monday, January 10, at 196 Washington D.C. Tramo Dos in San Dionisio village, Paranaque City.

Florece was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of qualified theft docketed with P78,000 recommended bail dated August 26, 2014 and issued by the court of Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte.

Simborio said Sumindog was arrested around 4:50 p.m. Monday, January 10, in Bagong Silang village, Gutalac, Zamboanga del Norte.

Sumindog has been listed as the number 8 most wanted person in Naga, Zamboanga Sibugay and has a pending warrant of arrest for frustrated murder with P200,000 recommended bail dated June 29, 2021 and issued by the court of Ipil of the same province. (SunStar Zamboanga)
