THE Business One Stop Shop (Boss), set up to ensure swift and seamless permits processing at Centro Latino in Paseo del Mar, has received a total of 6,032 applications as of Tuesday, January 11, 2022.
Of the total applications received, 5,307 have been assessed, of which 1,572 are with payments made. Total business permits issued is 1,251.
City Licensing Officer Benjie Barredo, meanwhile, reminded business establishment owners and managers who were contacted by the Licensing Office to immediately claim their assessment details, as these are now ready for payment and eventual issuance of permits.
Barredo said more than 500 assessed applications remain unclaimed even despite notification to establishment owners or managers through text or call.
To ensure compliance with minimum health standards and avoid convergence of people, this year's Boss utilizes the dropbox system where applicants drop off their application form and complete documentary requirements at Centro Latino in Paseo del Mar, to be processed by Boss frontline agencies and offices.
After drop-off, the applicants do not need to stay or wait at the Boss premises for their assessments as they will be notified via call or when this is ready for pickup. (SunStar Zamboanga)
