Angeles City logs 53 new Covid-19 cases

THE Angeles City Government recorded on Thursday, January 13, 53 new cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

This brought the city’s total active cases to 510.

Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. appealed to residents to continue to observe the health protocols, as the entire country is now being affected by Omicron, a highly transmissible variant of Sars-CoV-2, which causes the Covid-19.

No new recoveries and deaths were reported as of January 13, 2022.

The local government logged a total of 13,066 Covid-19 cases since March 2020, of which 12,037 had recovered.

There are now 519 deaths in Angeles.

Lazatin stressed the need for the people to practice self discipline to prevent the spread of the new variant.

He also ordered for limiting the mobility of unvaccinated individuals in line with the Covid-19 task force guidelines.

The City Government is distributing P10,000 cash and vitamin C supplements to senior citizens in different villages.
