An estimated P68,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized in a drug bust led by the operatives of Police Station 2 at Purok Sigay in Barangay 2, Bacolod City past 8 p.m. Thursday, January 13.
The operation also led to the arrest of Juliet Cantado, 33, of Barangay Zone 4, Cadiz City and temporarily staying at Barangay 2, Bacolod.
Captain Paul Vincent Pendon, commander of Police Station 2, said yesterday Cantado was arrested after she sold a sachet of illegal drugs to a poseur buyer.
Police recovered from Cantado’s possession three sachets of shabu weighing 10 grams and the P500 marked money.
Pendon said Cantado was identified as a street level individual, who was a subject almost a week of surveillance before her arrest.
He said the suspect was operating a mini-store in the barangay aside from doing illegal drugs.
He added Cantado, who is detained at the custodial facility, was already charged for violation of Section 5 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
