LEO Rey Yanson was once again appointed as the president of the Mindanao Star Bus Transport Inc. (MSTBI), a bus company plying routes in Mindanao, during the company's annual stockholders' meeting on Saturday, January 15, 2022.

Likewise, Olivia V. Yanson, the matriarch of the Yanson family, was also re-appointed as MSTBI's corporate secretary and treasurer.

Olivia Yanson led the Annual Stockholders' Meeting and Board Election of MSTBI in her dual capacity as conjugal co-owner and court-appointed special administrator of the estate of her late husband Ricardo B. Yanson.

It can be recalled that in an order in October 2021, a Bacolod court appointed Olivia Yanson as special administrator of the estate of Ricardo Yanson.

The Mindanao Star Bus Transport stockholders had also re-elected Leo Rey Yanson, Ginnette Dumancas, Charles Dumancas, Rey Ardo and Arvin John Villaruel as members of the company's board of directors.

Following his re-election, Leo Rey confirmed that the MSBTI will "remain strong and resilient" depsite the challenges they faced in 2021.

He also assured that the company will continue "to be steadfast in its goal to serve the Filipino people" and is committed to provide the riding public with the most reliable means of public transportation for all.

The company, in a press statement, said Roy Yanson, Ricardo Yanson Jr. and Emily Yanson were absent during the stockholders' meeting, adding that they believed they are currently hiding abroad as "fugitives from justice" together with their sister Ma. Lourdes Celina Lopez.

According to the company, there are several outstanding warrants of arrest for carnapping and for grave coercion issued by the courts of Bacolod City against the four aforementioned siblings, who are known as Y4.

Recently, warrants of arrest have also been issued by Bacolod and Cagayan de Oro courts against Emily for the crimes of perjury and falsification.
