Kini mag-aghat sa Department of Tourism (DOT), uban sa mga lokal nga kagamhanan sa nahisgutang dakbayan, munisipyo ug probinsiya, National Commission for Culture and the Arts ug mga kaabag nga ahensya sa kultura, ug Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), sa pag-andam dayon sa mga plano sa kalamboan nga naglambigit sa pagpreserba, pagkonserba, pagpasig-uli, ug pagmentinar sa mga kultural ug historical nga mga dapit ug estruktura alang sa pagpauswag ug pagpadayon sa turismo sa San Vicente ug Carcar City.

“I am not belittling Magellan...I do not mean to offend the sensibility of Cebuanos. I’m just a citizen of this country expressing my opinion. When I was campaigning for the presidency, I went to Cebu and there was this statue of Magellan and Lapulapu. Magellan’s statue is bigger than Lapulapu. I don’t know about the Cebuanos, but I am very uncomfortable to say that the statue of Lapulapu is smaller than Magellan,” matod ni Duterte.
