New cases of Covid-19 in Tarlac decrease

THE number of new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Tarlac province continued to drop in the past few days.

This was based on the daily Covid-19 chart the Provincial Government is posting on Facebook.

On January 18, 2022, the province listed 112 new cases, while on January 17, it reported 122 new infections. It also said that 175 cases were logged on January 16.

These records show a slight decrease in the number of new cases compared to January 15’s tally, which was 205 new cases.

The province also recorded an increase in the number of recoveries: 158 on January 18, 65 on January 17, and 60 on January 15.

The number of active Covid-19 cases in the province as of January 18 has climbed to 1,436.

No Covid-19 fatalities were reported since January 13, when one death was reported, while on the January 11, three mortalities were logged. On January 4, there was also one death.

Tarlac has recorded a total of 20,661 Covid-19 cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020. Of this number, 18,540 had recovered.
