FIVE families with 17 individuals were displaced by a fire that hit Purok 5A in Recodo village, Zamboanga City late Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
City Social Welfare and Development Officer (CSWDO) Socorro Rojas said the displaced families are all renters, whose rented structures were razed to the ground.
Rojas said the affected families are temporarily housed at the Recodo Elderly Center.
CSWDO personnel immediately proceeded to the site for intake assessment and distributed hot meals, family food packs and other hygiene kits to the displaced families.
The CSWDO will conduct further assessment to determine other interventions and assistance that the families need, according to Rojas. (SunStar Zamboanga)
