ONLY 16.82 percent or 79,782 of Visayan Electric Company customers who lost electricity during the onslaught of Typhoon Odette are waiting for the return of their power supply.
This, as Visayan Electric powered up 83.17 percent or 394,400 of its 474,182 customers as of 12 p.m. Friday, January 21.
The reenergization efforts of Visayan Electric jumped by 3.55 percentage points on Friday from 79.62 percent (377,555 households) on Thursday, January 20.
Visayan had promised to restore power to 100 percent of its affected customers by January 31.
The power distributor has been repairing poles and power lines a day after the onslaught of Typhoon Odette, which devastated parts of central and southern Cebu on Thursday evening, December 16, 2022.
