157 active Covid-19 cases in Carmen, highest among 25 barangays in Oro

ONE barangay in Cagayan de Oro City has 157 active Covid-19 cases, the highest among the top 25 barangays that have active Covid cases as of January 21,2022.

Based on the data presented by the City Health Office, the barangay with the highest number of active cases is Carmen.

It is followed by Barangay Balulang with 103 cases, Kauwsagan with 102 cases, Lumbia with 97 cases, Bugo with 62 cases, Gusa with 62 cases, Patag with 59 cases, Macasandig with 56 cases, Iponan and Bulua with 54 cases, Camaman-an with 50 cases, Nazareth with 46 cases, Lapasan with 44 cases, Cugman with 29 cases, Canitoan with 28 cases, Indahag with 24 cases, Tablon with 22 cases, Bonbon with 17 cases, Consolacion with 16 cases, Macabalan with 15 cases, Pagatpat and Puntol with 13 cases, and Bayabas with 12 cases.

The cumulative number of active cases in Cagayan de Oro has climbed to 1,215, of which 281 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) and other hospitals in the city, 891 were outpatients, and 43 are returning overseas Filipino workers (ROFs)/locally stranded individuals (LSIs).

Meanwhile, majority or 90 percent of Covid-19 mortalities recorded in Cagayan de Oro City were unvaccinated individuals.

As of January 21, the city has a total of 862 Covid-19 deaths, of which 775 were unvaccinated individuals while 87 were vaccinated individuals.
