P5M worth of party drugs seized in Quezon

THOUSANDS of pieces of party drugs or ecstasy were seized by authorities during a controlled delivery operation in Tandang Sora, Quezon City on Saturday night, January 22, 2022.

Based on the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) -Cetral Luzon's report, information from Shenzhen Chinese Customs to PDEA-International Cooperation and Foreign Affairs Service (ICFAS) disclosed that a package from the Netherlands that will arrive at Port of Clark may contain illegal drugs.

Upon the arrival of the said package on January 20, authorities found several tablets of suspected MDMA (Ecstacy) concealed in the interlayer cardboard in the said package which was consigned to a certain Evelyn Sotto.

The said consignee, Jennifer Abas, was arrested during the operation along with her cohort identified as Genevie Abas.

PDEA yielded a total of 3,034 pieces of ecstasy with an estimated value of P5,157,800.
