THE Angeles City Government is set to provide P10,000 financial assistance to three families in Barangay San Jose affected by a fire on January 22, 2022.
Aside from cash assistance, the City Social Welfare and Development Office led by Edna Duaso already distributed food assistance, hygiene kits, banigs, and blankets to the residents on the same day
As instructed by Mayor Carmelo "Pogi" Lazatin Jr., the Local Finance Committee — composed of the City Budget Office, City Treasurer’s Office and City Accounting Office — will immediately process the financial assistance, which will come from the Office of the City Mayor’s regular budget.
Lazatin also sent a medical team from the Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office led by Rodolfo Simeon to check on the health and welfare of the victims.
“Maliit na tulong lamang po ito para sa mga kababayan nating naapektuhan ng sunog. Our office will always be open for their needs,” Lazatin said.
Some P360,000 worth of cash assistance were earlier given by the City Government to San Nicolas fire victims in October 2020, while P10,000 aid was also distributed to seven families in Lourdes Sur East in November 2021.
