PERSONNEL of the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) are undergoing early morning physical fitness program, which forms part of the internal cleansing program.
This, as Police Colonel Alexander Lorenzo, newly installed ZCPO director, has introduced a physical fitness program and encouraged his personnel to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
The physical fitness is dubbed as the “10,000 steps program,” which Lorenzo has initiated starting Friday, January 21.
The program is an early morning stretching exercises and brisk walking from Pasonanca village to the city proper involving overweight ZCPO personnel.
“This program aims to achieve 10,000 steps daily as it is also a good cardio exercise aside from losing weight,” Lorenzo said.
Lorenzo said it is in line with his Guided Platforms in the continuous conduct of Internal Cleansing program in maintaining the standard body mass index (BMI), pursuant to Philippine National Police (PNP) Memorandum Circular 2020-029 “Revised PNP Comprehensive Health and Physical Fitness Program” by the PNP.
Lorenzo, who assumed as the ZCPO director on January 17, said internal cleansing is one of his priority programs. (SunStar Zamboanga)
