CEBU City Mayor Michael Rama will not report to work yet due to his exposure with people who tested positive for Covid-19 virus.
This was announced by Cebu City public information officer Cerwin Eviota on Monday, January 24, 2022.
Eviota said the mayor just wanted to make sure that no other people would get infected by the virus.
He said the mayor is now in isolation inside his room away from his family members and if he goes out of the house he would just stay inside the car to supervise the "Oplan Bangon Sugbo" being implemented by the city to clear the streets of debris left by typhoon Odette.
The Cebu City spokesperson also said yesterday he would make a follow-up on whether or not the mayor had already undergone the Covid-19 test. (PAC, TPT)
