Oro logs over 200 new Covid-19 cases over the weekend

THE number of new coronavirus infections in Cagayan de Oro continued to rise, with 249 additional cases reported over the weekend.

The city now has a total of 22,106 Covid-19 cases.

The City Health Office said of the 249 local cases, 10 were returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs) and 239 were local transmissions.

According to City Health Office medical officer Dr. Ted Yu, of the 239 new local cases, 152 were local index cases, 23 were local cases with link, 49 were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), and 13 were Apors with link.

The city also recorded two mortalities over the weekend.

The active cases in Cagayan de Oro went up to 1,404, of which 314 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 1,038 were outpatients, and 52 were ROFs/LSIs.

Over the weekend, the city recorded 58 recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 19,838.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 864.
