AN EIGHT-YEAR-OLD boy died after he was electrocuted in Barangay Lag-asan, Bago City, Negros Occidental past 3 p.m. Monday, January 24.

The victim was identified as Manuel Jay Maghari, a Grade 3 pupil and a resident of Purok Masinadyahon in the barangay, Bago City Police Station chief investigator Senior Master Sergeant Job Ogares said.

Richard Benguelo and Errol Contiga, both 14 years old, and Maghari's neighbors told the police that they were riding their bicycle when they saw the victim lying on his back on the pavement.

When they checked on him, Maghari was holding the live duplex electrical wire of Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco) attached to one of the households in the area, they said.

Maghari died on the way to the Bago City Hospital.
