THE City Health Office reported on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, that Cagayan de Oro logged 80 new cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
The increase in the number of new cases recorded in the city in the past few days brought the number of active infections to 1,551, of which 332 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) and other hospitals in the city, 1,164 were outpatients, and 55 were returning overseas Filipinos/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs).
According to City Health Office medical officer Dr. Ted Yu, of the 195 new cases, one was a ROF, three were LSIs, and 191 were local transmissions.
Among the 191 new local cases, 121 were local index cases, 14 were local cases with link, 45 were authorized persons outside residence (Apors), and eight were Apors with link.
The city also recorded three mortalities.
The cumulative number of infections in the city was at 22,301.
The city also registered 45 new coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as "recovered." This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 19,883.
The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city remained at 867.
