Car rental agency anticipates fast recovery as travel restriction eases, number of vaxxed persons rises

CAR rental agency Enterprise Rent-A-Car Cebu has announced its readiness to serve the new normal travel market, assuring customers of enhanced safety measures duly accredited by the World Health Organization (WHO) and CDC Foundation.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car, which has operations in the Philippines including Cebu anticipates fast recovery of travel activities with the easing of travel restrictions and rising number of vaccinated individuals. It has now put in place strategic measures to meet the demand avalanche for car rental services in the country.

While the arrival of foreign tourists has yet to take off, its Cebu operation is taking advantage of the domestic market not only for tourists but customers in need of premium rent-a-car service, such as hotels.

“The Enterprise Cebu branch has a different platform from other branches where we offer chauffeur services. We are the transportation provider of Cebu hotels too,” said Cita Tomada, president of Driveservices Asia Pacific Inc.

Cita Tomada operates three car rental brands catering to targeted markets including the Enterprise Rent-A-Car for everyday use, the National Car Rental for the corporate rental market, and the Alamo Rent A Car for leisure car rental services.

Tomada, a Filipina businesswoman based in Guam, operates three car rental services in other island destinations like Guam, Palau and Saipan. Cebu is her fourth site.

In 2020, Enterprise Rent-A-Car launched the Enterprise Complete Clean pledge to enhance the cleanliness and safety of its vehicles and branches.

To expand on that pledge, Enterprise recently became a member of the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC). As a member of the WTTC, EHI receives ongoing support and scientific guidance around its enhanced safety measures from experts at the WHO and CDC Foundation.

“Our growth and recognition in the travel industry confirm that superior service and industry leadership go hand in hand,” said Chrissy Taylor, president and chief executive officer of Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

The company, she said, is making strides in providing world-class health safety measures to protect its growing clientele in the ongoing battle against Covid-19.

In fact, Enterprise Rent-A-Car Cebu has obtained a SafeTravels Stamp in partnership with the WTTC.

WTTC’s SafeTravels Stamp was created for travelers to recognize destinations and businesses worldwide that have adopted the SafeTravels health and hygiene global standardized protocols.

The SafeTravel Stamp is a reinforcement of Enterprise’s commitment to provide health and safety protocols for all customers and employees.

In addition to its cleaning and sanitizing every vehicle between rentals, consumers can also feel confident that the staff will take every opportunity to enhance the health and safety protocols at Enterprise branches and offices throughout the region.

“Being recognized with the SafeTravels Stamp by World Travel & Tourism Council is a testament to the top standards and measures we’ve implemented to keep our customers and employees safe as travel resumes across our region,” said Tomada.

Pre-pandemic times, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car predominantly served foreign tourists and businessmen visiting the Philippines and Cebu. Today, however, Enterprise Rent-A-Car has become the top choice in the local market, said Tomada. (with PR)
