PDEA, police dismantle drug den in Sibugay town

OPERATIVES of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) backed by policemen have arrested five people as they dismantled a drug den in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga Sibugay province.

The PDEA-Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Office identified the arrested suspects as Basil Rambuyong, 40, drug den maintainer; Arnold Timosa, 42, visitor; Felixberto Detomas, 40, drug den maintainer; Aller Roy Redoble, 39, visitor; and, Renie Torres, 39, drug den maintainer.

They were arrested in an anti-drug operation around 8 a.m. Wednesday, January 26, in Purok Masigla, Poblacion village, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Confiscated from the drug den were some P102,000 worth of suspected shabu, 18 bills of P1,000 boodle money topped with two genuine P1,000 bills as marked money, P16,000 cash in different denominations believe to be proceeds money and several illegal drug paraphernalia, according to the PDEA-Zamboanga Sibugay provincial office.

The suspects were detained and will be charged for violation of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 26, Article II of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (SunStar Zamboanga)
