Oro logs over 100 new Covid-19 cases

THE number of new coronavirus infections in Cagayan de Oro continued to rise, with 181 additional cases reported Thursday, January 27, 2022.

The city now has a total of 21,903 Covid-19 cases.

The City Health Office said of the 181 local cases, one was a locally stranded individual (LSI), one was a returning overseas Filipino (ROF) and 179 were local transmissions.

According to City Health Office medical officer Dr. Ted Yu, of the 179 new local cases, 137 were local index cases, 19 were local cases with link, 16 were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), and five were Apors with link.

The city also recorded two mortalities.

The active cases in Cagayan de Oro went up to 2,023, of which 424 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 1,541 were outpatients, and 58 were ROFs/LSIs.

The city recorded 53 recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 20,008.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city was at 872.
