Lacson: Here they go again

LAST week, I chanced upon this video commentary of "Aso si Tserman" posted on his Facebook page in which he criticized Tiktok lady users in the new challenge tending on the said platform. Called "Kalog Joga" Challenge, young women are seen holding their breasts and showing them teasingly on their uploaded videos.

Ako si Tserman said that on his video that he himself is a man who is usually attracted to these kinds of lewd materials but in fairness to him, he also expressed disappointment as to the platform where these videos are uploaded and seen. According to him, these ladies can do whatever they want, they can post their nude videos online but they have to choose the appropriate site for them and not on Tiktok as there are even younger people using the said social media app. He suggested that if these ladies are up to showing their breasts and other private parts, then they upload their videos in porn sites and not on Facebook and Tiktok where they can influence younger girls to imitate what they are doing.

For one, yes, I agree with Tserman on the premise that these ladies do not post their videos on Tiktok and Facebook. But I sigh in disbelief about the kind of thinking that some ladies have now with their guts to do this lewd acts on Tiktok. In our dialect, we label these as "desperada" or desperate for attention because if they have a boyfriend in the first place, then I think they will not resort to posting these kinds of challenges to attract attention from men. While it is wrong to label them as "pakawala" or "malandi", who will, in her right mind, dance while holding her breasts and removing her shirt just for the sake of being "nakauso" or doing what is trending online? No woman who values here dignity and reputation will ever do that, I suppose. To quote him, Tserman said "Kung anong nilaki ng jogjog, syang niliit ng utak." I couldn't agree more with this statement coming from a man himself who is supposedly a sucker for these kinds of videos online.

Tserman also cited one possible scenario wherein a supposed child of these women gets bullied in school because of his/her mom showing her breasts online. I mean if that happens in real; life, what kind of reputation are you giving your child too because of the lack of sanity you did when you were younger? This is indeed a cause for alarm since these younger generation seem to have little respect for their dignity and delicadeza as women. We should remind them that men will always have a high regard and respect for women who are prim and proper and who act responsibly for their own sake.

As I always say, women should always take care of themselves and present themselves in the most dignified manner in public as much as possible. They may argue that they are doing it because of the so-called freedom of expression but they must also be aware that they must be responsible users of the social media because they share the platform with other users who are young and may be influenced wrongly because of their actions.
