MORE than P2 million worth of illegal drugs were seized during a police operation launched in Mexico town in Pampanga over the weekend.

Police Regional Office-Central Luzon Director Brigadier General Matthew Baccay said the illegal drugs were seized from a suspected drug peddler identified as Nabil Macatadar, 26, from Dasmarinas, Cavite.

The operation yielded three plastic bags of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) weighing approximately 305 grams with an estimated street value of P2,074,000, the P500 marked money, and other personal belongings.

Appropriate charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 are being readied for court referral.
