GOVERNOR Dennis Pineda is amplifying the information dissemination about Covid-19 vaccines to reach Kapampangans who are yet to get jabbed.

On Friday, February 4, Pineda visited three barangays in Candaba town to personally encourage and explain to them the importance of getting vaccinated.

He was accompanied by Mayor Rene Maglanque in his visit in Barangays Mandasig, Pasig and San Agustin.

As one of the biggest towns in Pampanga situated at the border of Bulacan, Pineda said the strongest armor against infection the residents can have is by getting vaccinated.

“Ang pagiging bakunado kasama ng pagsunod sa mga protocols at good hygiene ang magbibigay sa lahat ng pinakamalaking proteksyon kontra Covid-19,” said Pineda.

Maglanque, for his part, said they are targeting to vaccinate at least 15,000 more people in the next days to achieve herd immunity.

He said the local government has already started rolling out vaccines in the barangay level to further reach residents who are not vaccinated yet.

“Bumababa na kami sa barangay level para mahanap at mabigyan ng pagkakataon ang mga Candabeños na hindi pa nababakunahan na makapagpabakuna na at itong personal na pagbisita ni Governor Delta Pineda sa aming mga barangay at napakalaking bagay sa paghikayat sa kanila na makikiisa sa programa konta Covid-19,” Maglanque said.

Pineda also took time to personally distribute food packs to Candabeños during his visit in town.

At least 3,000 food packs containing rice and dressed chicken were distributed to residents of Barangays Mandasig, Pasig and San Agustin.
