1,000 Kapampangans get jobs from internship program

SOME 1,000 Kapampangans were able to get temporary jobs through the Government Internship Program (GIP) of the Provincial Government of Pampanga and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

Under the program, high school, technical-vocational, and college graduates are given the opportunity to undergo a three to six months internship with government agencies, where they receive P420 salary per day.

Last Wednesday, 261 GIP beneficiaries received their cash wages. Also, 739 received their salaries via ATM.

The DOLE, Public Employment Service Office, led by its manager Luningning Vergara, and Second District Board Member Fritzie David-Dizon led the pay-out at the New Legislative Building, Capitol Compound in the City of San Fernando.
