Zambo Norte farmers groups receive hand tractors

TWO associations of farmers in the province of Zamboanga del Norte have received each a unit of hand tractor from the Department of Agriculture (DA).

The recipients of hand tractors are the Labukanan Farmers Association and the Association of Farmers in Pianon village, Kalawit, Zamboanga del Norte.

DA Regional Executive Director Rad Donn Cedeño led the distribution of the hand tractors to the recipients on Wednesday, February 9.

The distribution coincided with the activities of the 32nd Araw ng Kalawit, which is anchored on the theme: "Makanunayong Kalambuan sa Nagkahiusang Kalawitnon."

"DA is always here to help and assist you in your agricultural endeavors. May pera sa agrikultura (there is money in agriculture)," Cedeño said.

Cedeño assured the farmers that the DA, through the machinery and mechanization project under the Special Area for Agricultural Development program, will provide more assistance to qualified recipients in Zamboanga del Norte.

The assistance is in line with the program of OneDA approach to achieve Masaganang Ani, Mataas na Kita of DA Secretary William Dar. (SunStar Zamboanga)
