2 nabbed, P340,000 shabu seized in Zamboanga City

LAWMEN have arrested two people and seized P340,000 worth of illegal drugs in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City, a top police official said Thursday, February 10, 2022.

Police Colonel Alexander Lorenzo, acting Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) director, identified the arrested suspects as Ibrahim Hajiri, 32, and Romeo Caputillia, 36, both high-value individuals.

Lorenzo said the two suspects were arrested by joint team of the ZCPO's Station 4 and City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) in an anti-drug operation around 9:27 p.m. Wednesday, February 9, on Murga Drive in Sta. Catalina village.

Seized from the suspects were 50 grams of shabu worth P340,000, an empty plastic bottle, a bag, a motorcycle, 100 pieces of P1,000 bills boodle money topped with one genuine P500 marked money.

Lorenzo said the suspects were detained while formal charges are set to be filed against them.

Lorenzo lauded the ZCPO's Station 4 and CDEU operatives for a job well-done. (SunStar Zamboanga)
