THE Western Mindanao Command (Westmincom) has assured the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) that it is ready to provide assistance to the agency.
Lieutenant General Alfredo Rosario, Jr., commander of Westmincom, made the assurance when DSWD Regional Director Sittie Raifah Pamaloy-Hassan paid a courtesy visit on Friday, February 11, 2022, at Camp Navarro.
“The Armed Forces is always ready to assist you whenever you need it. While we are working on our mission to end terrorism here in Mindanao, we also endeavor to provide support to our partners and stakeholders in the best way we could,” Rosario said.
He said the multi-sectoral collaboration must be sustained in the name of public service.
Hassan expressed her gratitude to the Westmincom for the continued support to all the undertakings of the DSWD, including the transport of relief goods to the affected areas of Typhoon Odette.
“We also want to thank you for your participation in bringing home Filipinos from Sabah. Through your untiring efforts and that of other concerned agencies, we have safely ferried 3,289 Filipinos back to their respective homes,” Hassan said.
Hassan visited Westmincom to strengthen the partnership with command in delivering programs and services to the people. (SunStar Zamboanga)
