Cebuano triathletes shine in 2022 NAGT-Subic

RAVEN Faith Alcoseba and Andrew Kim Remolino of Talisay City stamped their class in the standard elite class of the 2022 National Age Group Triathlon (NAGT)-Subic on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022.

The swimmer-turned-triathlete Alcoseba captured the women’s elite standard crown after finishing the swim-bike-run competition in 2 hours, 23 minutes and 19 seconds.

Erika Nicole Burgos timed in 2:25:45 for second place and Lauren Plaza clocked in 2:29:38 to complete the women’s top three.

Remolino, the 2019 Southeast Asian Games silver medalist, finished at second place with a time of 2:05:44, just a few seconds behind PH team teammate and men’s standard eventual winner John Leerams Chicano.

Joshua Alexander Ramos came in third place at 2:07:40.

Other notable Cebuanos who competed in the race were Renz Wynn Corbin (2:17:19, men’s 9th place), Karen Manayon (2:30:07, women’s 4th place), and Moira Frances Erediano (2:31:14, women’s 5th place).
