Zamboanga City frontliners receive ‘LifeWear’ shirts

FRONTLINERS from various local agencies received “LifeWear” (dry T-shirts) from private institutions amid the health pandemic.

This came after as the Uniqlo Philippines partnered with SM Foundation Inc., through SM City Mindpro, to reach various essential frontline workers and distribute their signature T-shirts in celebration of its #ThankyouFestival.

The recipients of the LifeWear include the local police and traffic enforcers, city health office personnel, garbage collectors and street sweepers, who work tirelessly every day to keep everyone healthy.

“This is just a simple gesture to show appreciation for the hard work of our healthcare and front-line workers,” Uniqlo Philippines said in a statement.

It said that the shirts they distributed are smooth and comfortable with a casual, cotton-like texture.

“It is also newly updated with a contoured silhouette for easy movement and added dry technology. Through this clothing technology of Uniqlo, frontline workers will be comfortable under those layers of PPEs (personnel protective equipment) especially that Philippines is a tropical country,” Uniqlo Philippines said.

Uniqlo Philippines and SM Foundation have been constantly collaborating for the purpose of social good.

Aside from LifeWear, they also donated various health essentials and food packs to those affected by various calamities recently. (SunStar Zamboanga)
