THE Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas Negros Occidental Chapter comemorates the World Radio Day 2022 on February 13, with a Holy Mass celebrated by Bishop Patricio Buzon of the Diocese of Bacolod.
This year's World Radio Day theme "Yes to Radio, Yes to Trust" emphasizes the role of radio as the most trusted medium with the widest reach worldwide.
Before the Holy Mass a Synodal Consultative Meeting facilitated by Sister Maria Jose P. Lorilla, FSP was held followed by an Oath-taking Ceremony officiated by Fr. Roy Christian Gesulgon, Chancellor of the Diocese of Bacolod. One of the highlights of the celebration was the official launch of this year's Tingog kag Handurawan Awards.
Ma. Chona V. Gosiaoco took oath as the chairperson with Vice Chairman Jeony Bigay of RMN DyHB 747, Pastor Chester Nimrod Elias of DyVS 1233 - secretary, Nona D. Magbanua of Aksyon Radyo Bacolod - treasurer, Serafin I. Plotria, Jr. of iFM 94.3 - Performance Officer, Board of Directors Francis Munoz of Easy Rock/Love Radio 91.9, Jerry Mayordo of RJFM, Ferdinand Tan of RPN DyKB, Loel Katalbas of Hapi Radio Sagay, Mary Divine Grace Cuello of DyWB Bombo Radyo, Jennifer Ellaga of Star FM 95.9, and Angelina Matilla of DyRL.
