Some 30,945 Negrenses were vaccinated during the two-day National vaccination drive from February 10 to 11, a report from the provincial government said.

The figure represents 24.02 percent of the 128,848 residents who are eligible for vaccination in Negros Occidental.

The provincial government will launch today, Valentine's Day, the Pediatrics vaccination for five to eleven years old at Teresita L. Jalandoni Provincial Hospital (TLJPH) in Silay City.

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson will lead the activity.

Dr. Zeaphard Caelian, head of the Provincial Management Incident Team said that 2,500 vials or 15,000 doses of Special orange-capped Pfizer vaccines on Saturday, February 12.

These vaccines will be used to inoculate children between five to 11-years-old.

In its advisory, TLJPH said that the pediatric vaccinees should be accompanied by their parents or guardian during the vaccination.

They are also required to bring a photocopy of their birth certificates.
