More recoveries bring down Covid-19 cases in Pampanga

THE total number of active coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Pampanga is now down to 1,476, as the province is now experiencing a drop in the number of infections coupled with new recorded recoveries.

For February 13, only 39 active cases were reported in the whole province.

The Department of Health’s (DOH) official coronavirus tracker placed the total number of confirmed cases in the Pampanga since the start of the pandemic to 87,524 with 84,227 recoveries. Coronavirus-related deaths have reached 1,444 cases.

Pampanga has reported 1,002 coronavirus cases in the last 14 days, while Angeles City reported 259 cases for the same period.

Twenty people have died from the disease in the last 14 days.

Majority of the 45 health facilities in the province are now experiencing a decrease in the number of bed occupancies.

The rate of occupancy in the region is currently at 13.7 percent, the lowest yet since the Omicron variant surge. This means that 1,162 of the total 1,346 hospital beds in Pampanga are currently available.

Forty-five health facilities in Pampanga are currently in the safe level with the ongoing decrease of cases.
