Police, military receive motorbikes from Zamboanga City Government

THE local police and military forces received another assistance package as the Zamboanga City Government remains unrelenting in its commitment to security.

A total of 63 units of motorcycle were turned over Sunday, February 13, by Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar and City Administrator Michael Saavedra to the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO), Joint Task Force (JTF)-Zamboanga and Traffic Enforcement Unit (TEU).

The motorcycles were received by Police Colonel Alexander Lorenzo, ZCPO director; Colonel Randolph Rojas, JTF-Zamboanga commander; and Raymond Padayhag, TEU head.

Salazar said the motorcycles cost a total of P5.95 million, with funds taken from the peace and order program of the City Mayor's Office under Supplemental Budget 3 for fiscal year 2020.

Salazar turned over the motorcycles at the City Hall grounds after she awarded the ZCPO with a Certificate of Commendation for its achievement as Top Police Office in Solution Efficiency and Crime Clearance Efficiency for 2021 in the entire country. (SunStar Zamboanga)
