THE City Government of Davao has eased the regulations covering events by government offices in the barangay, local, and national level, including government-owned and controlled corporation events.
Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio issued on February 14, 2022, Executive Order (EO) 6, Series of 2022, which allows face-to-face, hybrid, or online facilitation of events like inauguration, anniversary, thanksgiving, ribbon-cutting, blessing, turnover, groundbreaking activity, launching program, salo-salo, birthday, press conference, oath-taking program, photo opportunity, retirement honors, welcome honors, testimonial program, summer outing, team building, trainings, seminars, and other similar activities.
“Katong mga prohibited face-to-face events sa Executive Order 69 (The prohibited face-to-face events under Executive Order 69), they are now allowed, face-to-face events (but) encouraged hybrid or online events,” Duterte-Carpio said on Monday, February 14, during her Special Hour program.
The EO also covers disaster and emergency activities such as distribution of financial, food, food, and non-food items and assistance.
It also emphasizes the strict observance of health protocols in the conduct of face-to-face events, such as wearing face masks, social distancing, and the minimum public health standards.
“The reminder is the mask, the distancing, and the availability of the hand wash facilities or alcohol para sa mga tao (for the public). And if you’re not eating or drinking, you wear your mask,” the mayor said.
Duterte-Carpio said in her EO that the easing of restrictions covering events is due to “the decrease in the number of cases reported, the active vaccination rollout within the city, and the availability of the Molnupiravir drug.”
