Number 5 drug suspect nabbed

POLICEMEN have arrested a number 5 drug suspect (station level) in an anti-drug operation in an east coast village of Zamboanga City, a top police official said Tuesday, February 15, 2022.

Police Colonel Alexander Lorenzo, acting Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) director, identified the arrested suspect as Ronie Villanubos alias Malik, 34, a resident of Market Site in Curuan village.

Lorenzo said Villanubos was nabbed by ZCPO Station 2 and 2nd Zamboanga City Mobile Force Company operatives in an anti-drug operation around 5:20 p.m. Monday, February 14, in Sitio Niyo-niyog, Muti village.

Seized from the suspect were 3.5 grams of shabu packed in four heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets worth P23,800, one empty transparent plastic sachet and P200 marked money consisting of two P100 bills.

He said the suspect, who was detained at the ZCPO's Station 2, will be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Lorenzo commended the operating personnel for a job well done that led to the arrest of the suspect.

He appealed to the public to continuously support and contribute for the success of the anti-drug and the anti-criminality campaign in Zamboangaz City. (SunStar Zamboanga)
