THE eldest daughter of Talisay City Mayor Gerald Anthony "Samsam" Gullas got her first Covid-19 vaccine shot on Tuesday, February 15, 2022.

Gullas's daughter, Princess, who is 10 years old, got her first Covid-19 inoculation at the Talisay City College (TCC) in Barangay Poblacion, where the city is holding vaccinations for minors ages 5 to 11 since Monday, February 14, 2022.

Gullas, in a statement, said he initially said he will bring his daughter to get vaccinated to show the public that the Covid-19 vaccine is safe for children.

Gullas added that he had wanted his eldest daughter to get vaccinated following what they experienced when she and her half-sister, Pining, tested positive of Covid-19 last month.

"Trust me when I say that mas lisod kung imo nang anak mao nay maigo sa Covid as what we experienced sa height sa Omicron surge," Gullas added.

He also urged his constituents, especially parents, to bring their kids ages 5 to 11 to the TCC to get vaccinated.

"One of the best ways we can show love for our kids is to ensure that they are healthy and protected from all things harmful, whether makita ba or dili makita," Gullas added.

Gullas also announced that since Monday, a total of 350 children ages 5 to 11 have gotten their first Covid-19 shots.
