NEGROS Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson has appointed a new head for the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA) effective Monday, February 21, 2022.
Dr. Edmundo Raul Causing will be the new provincial agriculturist, replacing Dina Gensola who temporarily assumed the post following the retirement of lawyer Japhet Masculino in July last year.
Causing's appointment also got the nod from members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
Causing is a farm manager and professor at the University of St. La Salle-Bacolod.
