"IT GIVES me a better sleep."

This was the reaction of Governor Eugenio Jose "Bong" Lacson Sunday, February 20, 2022, regarding the result of the recent Pulso ng Lasalyano university-wide 2022 national and local mock elections.

The result was published by the University of St. La Salle (USLS)-Bacolod on its official Facebook page on Saturday, February 19.

The survey showed that Lacson was the runaway winner with 874 registered voters or 70.36 percent voting for him.

His closest rival, former Bacolod City administrator and congressman lawyer Juan Orola Jr., got 15 of the 1,242 registered voters.

A total of 345 or 17.78 percent, however, remained undecided who to vote for governor.

Incumbent Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer, on the other hand, garnered 506 votes or 40.74 percent.

His opponent, Jonry Gargarita had 88 votes or 7.09 percent.

A total of 648 or 52.17 percent were still undecided as to their choice for the vice governor position.

"(This) further strengthens our resolve to improve our performance as a team in the provincial government," Lacson said.

Asked what his campaign strategy would be, the governor replied, "better public service."

According to the demographics by place, 2,875 registered voters participated in the mock elections of USLS-Bacolod.

Some 1,242 registered voters from towns and cities outside Bacolod voted for gubernatorial and vice-gubernatorial positions.

USLS, however, clarified that the result of the mock elections does not necessarily reflect the stand and opinion of the university, its stakeholders and the whole Lasallian institution.
