THE Sandiganbayan acquitted the late Ronda, Cebu Mayor Mariano "Nonie" Blanco III and five other town officials for their alleged failure to post bid notices on a government website in 2012.
The Sandiganbayan's Sixth Division acquitted Blanco, Municipal Engineer Oscar Pilapil, Municipal Budget Officer Thelma Landiza, Assistant Treasurer Brigida Cabaron, Municipal Clerk Frauline Requilme and Utility Worker Evelina Tan over allegations that they violated Republic Act (RA) 3019 or the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.
